Upcoming: Summer School “Materials for energy transition”

SYNERGY in collaboration with Sociedade Portuguesa de Materiais, Ordem dos Engenheiros, and with the support of INL, LNEG and DGEG, is organizing the summer school “Materials for energy transition”, to be held in Lisboa, Portugal, from 7th to 9th September 2022.

The on-site summer school will focus on the relevant matters related to the energetic transition and the role of materials science. Some topics to be addressed are hydrogen and renewable gases, photovoltaics, and energy storage. The target audience are MSc and PhD students and we encourage them to submit an abstract for poster presentation. There will be 20 slots for the students to present their work in fields related to the summer school topics.

Upcoming: Workshop “Climate Neutrality by 2050: the future of energy storage”

SYNERGY is organizing on 19th July the workshop “Climate Neutrality by 2050: the future of energy storage” as a satellite event of the Junior Euromat 2022, to be held in Coimbra, Portugal, from 19th to 22th July 2022.

The on-site workshop will be an excellent opportunity for networking and will have the contribution of speakers from the SYNERGY consortium, such as Prof. Federico Bella from Politecnico di Torino and Dr. Andre Clausner from Fraunhofer IKTS. We will have another two invited speakers coming from outside the SYNERGY consortium: Dr. João Gomes (CENTI) and Dr. Reza Younesi (Uppsala University).

VTT’s battery team is present in the #PRINSE22 7th PrintoCent Industry Seminar!

SYNERGY partner VTT participated in the 7th PrintoCent Industry Seminar and gave an insightful introduction to sustainable batteries in the roundtable discussions.

PRINSE’22 covered topics from printed intelligence to system-level reliable, sustainable and eco-friendly solutions for Future Products.

The inspiring international event hosted 300 participants around the world, while offered an excellent setting for networking and matchmaking in Oulu, Finland.
